We have two spoiled dogs who go everywhere with us, a Golden Retriever and a Cavapoo. The Retriever stays happily in the cargo area, but the Cavapoo has claimed the center console as his personal perch. The problem? When he stretches or plays, he sometimes taps the drive mode controls. At 65 MPH, 4x4 Low won’t engage (thankfully), but I still get alerts. Ride height and transfer case settings do change, forcing me to reset them.

Any ideas on how to cover the controls, except the gearshift, to keep my little co-pilot from off-roading my car?

A little extra shield to tackle the chaos of daily driving. I’ve already got a water and dog hair proof cover for the cargo area. Now, I’m thinking of adding a thick plexiglass plate, custom-shaped to cover the auxiliary controls, with just a single round hole for the gearshift. How does that sound

That plexiglass idea sounds great, simple and effective. I’ll check out Canvasback too. The extra coverage for the cargo area sounds like a game-changer for keeping everything neat and organized. Thanks.
