We've got a long-haul dilemma. We take epic road trips with the 3 little ones, but our current setup only entertains the second row with the built-in screens. We tried the FireTV route, but the connection is spotty and downloads are a nightmare. The USB movie system for the second row is awesome, but ideally, we'd project it to a third-party screen with HDMI in the third row. Anyone cracked the code on mirroring those backseat screens? The car's FireTVs only output HDMI, and a Firestick on the third screen only mirrors phones/tablets. The second-row screens can mirror each other, so there's gotta be a way! Is it internal WiFi or a cable? Help!!!

An HDMI splitter could be a solution. You could connect your source device (like a streaming box) to the splitter, then run separate HDMI cables to each display in your car.

Here’s a low-cost workaround: Use a tablet or portable screen for the third row and download movies ahead of time. If you’re set on mirroring the second-row screens, HDMI splitters are inexpensive, and you can run a cable discreetly along the side. A wireless HDMI setup would be slicker but might cost a bit more. Either way, this can be done without breaking the bank!

Have you tried a portable DVD player for the third row? Or maybe you could use a projector to show the second-row screen on a small screen in the third row. Let us know if you find anything that works!
