How they got the 22.9 MPG

Hey everyone! This isn’t my personal experience, but someone shared their trip in a 2024 Wagoneer L, covering 1990.2 miles. The car’s display showed 17.7 MPG, but when they calculated it manually, it came out to 22.9 MPG, which was a nice surprise. About 525 miles were at 80+ mph on the freeway, and the rest at 55-65 mph. I’m sharing this here to see if anyone can explain how they got the 22.9 MPG.
 
I've been tracking my mileage, and the numbers on my Wagoneer with the Hurricane engine don't match what I'm actually getting. Seems like the Hemi models are fine though.
 
That’s a huge gap! I wonder if it’s an error in how the system calculates fuel used versus actual fill-ups. Maybe the trip computer resets in some funky way or just isn’t great at handling real-world driving quirks. Either way, I’d take the 22.9 MPG as a win!
