Is it possible to hardwire the dash cam to rear view mirror

There must be away! Looking to ditch the messy dash cam wire running across my window! Anyone out there successfully tap into the rear view mirror for power? Seems like a cleaner solution, even if it wouldn't record while parked. Power would kick on with the car ignition. Any expert in electrical here?

I got both my OBD cable and dashcam on Amazon, and they've been working really well so far.

Hardwiring to the mirror is a great way to get rid of dangling wires, but I’d check if the mirror’s power source has enough juice to handle the dash cam. If you go this route, grab a hardwire kit with a fuse and maybe some wire taps for a cleaner connection. Keep in mind, though, this setup won’t support parking mode since it relies on ignition power. If that’s a dealbreaker, consider running it to the fuse box instead, it’s still budget-friendly and keeps the install tidy!

@JimmyKnight I agree with @rigidfly. Fitcamx is easy to install, I had my son install it for me in my car.
