Just picked up my Wagoneer Series 2 Obsidian, and it didn’t even make it past the 90-mile mark before the right front air suspension blew out. I was just changing lanes when I heard a loud pop from the right front, and the whole front end dropped onto the bump stops. Checked it out, and no lines came loose, the strut itself just failed.

I went in expecting to deal with things like the transmission valve body (TCM) and maybe thermostat issues since I’ve read about those, but this was an unexpected curveball. Honestly, I love how the Wagoneer drives and handles when it’s in top form, but reliability with Jeeps, especially with models like the Grand Cherokee Hybrids, has me feeling a bit wary. Anyone else face similar issues with their air suspension on the new models?

So, first, sometimes, malfunctioning level control sensors can mess with air pressure readings, leading to issues like this one.
Also (this is one is rare to happen), a faulty solenoid block could potentially cause excessive pressure in the system, resulting in failure.
Then, inspect the air-lines. Any leaks or damage there could lead to a loss of pressure and suspension problems. Lastly, rebuild the strut with a new airbag and check the shock absorber, too.

It’s disappointing to have such a major issue right away, but you're not alone, I've heard of others facing air suspension problems too.

Unfortunately, you just hit a weak spot for this Jeep model. At least you are within warranty. Push for a full replacement, and why not, inspect the rest of the suspension.
