So I've got this Jeep Wagoneer in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl, right? Now I'm thinking about blacking out all the trim pieces, even the wheels. It'd look super cool, kinda like the GW Obsidian, you know? Has anyone here tried blacking out their trim pieces? How'd you go about doing it?

I'll give you options on how you would de-chrome your Wagoneer.

  • Plasti Dip: It's cheap, easy to DIY, and you can remove it. But it might not last long, and you might need to do it again.
  • Vinyl Wrap: It's also cheap and removable, but it's harder to do yourself and might take a long time. You might need to hire someone to do it.
  • Paint: It lasts a long time, but it's hard to prepare for, might be permanent, and you should hire a pro

Vinyl wrapping is a great option for customizing your car's look. However, it's best to have it professionally installed. You have a wide range of finishes to choose from, including gloss, matte, carbon fiber, metallic, and even shade-shifting.
