Considering a 2023 or 2024 Wagoneer L 4WD with the Heavy Tow package to pull our camper. The test drive went great, but I'm worried about the Quadralift air suspension. Will it be too soft for towing, especially in crosswinds? Does anyone know if the tow/haul mode affects the Quadralift's aero mode? Any insights from Wagoneer owners with towing experience would be greatly appreciated!

Go for it. The QL will even out the load when you put a trailer on. The adjustable suspension can also be lowered to make it easier to connect or disconnect your trailer from the hitch, especially in uneven terrain. I've personally towed between 4,000 and 4,500 lbs, and it handled it like a champ. The car stayed level and stable the entire time.

If you’re really worried about crosswinds or a softer suspension, you could always look into aftermarket upgrades, like sway bars or helper springs. I’ve done this with my previous vehicles, and it made a big difference. That said, the Wagoneer’s Quadralift should be fine for most towing needs, it’s designed to handle the load, especially in Tow/Haul mode.

Suspension and tow power was great, but I will say the wheelbase is what makes it harder - depending on how long your trailer is. A few times I def felt like the trailer was too long - but towing a 32' trailer also so I think in the end, depends what you are towing

The drawback of air suspension is that it can fail catastrophically. Unlike traditional sprung suspension, where wear and tear may occur gradually, air suspension failures frequently involve sudden issues such as ruptured airbags or compressor failures.

Also, the air suspension system can conceal the symptoms of worn struts or shocks, making it difficult to detect problems early on.

What are you towing length and weight. I’m towing with ours. Pulls strong but honestly it’s prolly not the best for towing at least anything long. The tail starts to wag the dog over 50 mph and I have top sway bars and hitch etc on it
