Hey
@BigBaldBeardGuy, I feel you on this one!
My 2022 Wagoneer Series II is doing the exact same thing with the rear quarter windows and liftgate trim. It is like a little water pool every time it rains or I hit the car wash. Freaking annoying.
The dealership keeps telling me it is normal, but I know it is not. Their opinion is more annoying.
One thing I have learned is that the tailgate is composite, so rust isn’t a worry. I also had a body shop tell me that the trim is glued on, and sometimes high-pressure water can loosen it. They re-glued mine with
heavy-duty adhesive, and it is holding up fine now. But yeah, that water just sits there, and I have to raise/lower the liftgate several times to get it all out.
Might be worth reaching out to Jeep directly to see if they have got a more permanent fix in the works. Seems like a common issue, so hopefully, they will address it in future models.
Good luck, and if you find a solid solution, please share it!
