What’s the purpose of the HDMI port in the 2023 wagoneer?

I connected my phone to the HDMI port in the 2023 Wagoneer, but all I got was a tiny mirror of my screen. It’s too small to watch anything properly, so I’m confused about the point of this feature. How is the HDMI port meant to be used? And what’s the best way to watch shows or movies in the car?

It is meant more for when you are parked and waiting somewhere or waiting for a charging session. I have used mine with my laptop during lunch breaks at work (not while driving). But, yeah, the sizing is weird.

Used with iPhone to HDMI, yes the iPhone screen will be letterboxed when shown, but when you play a movie/show from an app it goes full screen.

It’s just for the passenger display as far as I’m aware, not the main display (haven’t tested, but if available imagine vehicle needs to be in park to function for that display). Passenger display has a privacy guard so not visible or distracting to the driver while driving.

Never mind, I just re-read that you have a 2023, so you don’t actually have a Wagoneer S. My comment may not apply.

Pretty cool feature. I don’t have a Wagoneer S, but your point definitely resonates with me
