I bought my Wagoneer used, and I think it’s rated for 7,500 lbs without the HD tow package. It towed my 4,000-lb camper effortlessly, but I’m considering upgrading to a 6,000-lb setup. Anyone have experience towing that weight? Would a transmission cooler be a good idea?

The comfort is definitely impressive. I’ll stay under 6,000 lbs. Do you think a transmission cooler is worth adding?

If you're staying under 6,000 lbs, you probably don’t need the cooler, but it wouldn’t hurt to add one for peace of mind, especially on long hauls or in hotter climates. It can help keep things running smoothly.

That makes sense,I’d rather be safe than sorry, especially for summer trips. Have you added a cooler to yours? I am curious if it made a noticeable difference in performance.
