The Wagoneer is the only car my whole family agrees on, so I’m looking at a used 2023 or new 2024. I’ve got a few questions: Has the battery drain issue been fixed, or is it still hanging around? I saw online that the tailgate and connect service might be to blame. When I checked out new ones, every Wagoneer had to be jumped, and the dealer said they'd throw in a new battery if I bought one. The sales rep mentioned they don’t hold charge well when sitting, which seems like more than just a lot issue. Also, if something breaks, how long does it usually take to get fixed?

If you are set on the Wagoneer, I would strongly recommend getting the new 2024 because of the lemon law protection (in case things don't go as planned). The battery drain is still a thing, and if every new one on the lot needed a jump, that’s a red flag. I wish you inspiration to take the best decision.

I’ve been behind the wheel of my 2022 Grand Wagoneer S3 for nearly 20k miles now, and honestly, it’s been smooth sailing. The only little hiccups were a blinking odometer and one of the third-row seats refusing to budge, but both were sorted out at the dealer in no time. Not sure if Grand Wagoneers just have fewer issues than the regular Wagoneers, but I haven’t had much to complain about.

That battery drain issue is still pretty sketchy. If every single one on the lot needed a jump, that ain't just a fluke—that’s a straight-up red flag. Honestly, it might be better to look at other options unless you're cool with some possible headaches.
