That's crazy, yeah! Two months for a part? I wonder if they have considered escalating the issue to Jeep directly. They shouldn't have to deal with such a hassle for a vehicle that's supposed to be reliable. It would be interesting to hear how the dealer handles customer service after all this.

I have been there, too. The dealer did a reset and it fixed the issue. I just hope that with the next OTA update, I won't be back from where I was.

That's common, so don't worry too much, though, I feel your concern. Do a soft reset of the infotainment system. Think about a software update like you update something on your PC. After the update, the PC needs a restart. 😅

I was honestly shocked when this happened to me, too. I had heard about the issue but didn't think it would hit my Grand Wagoneer. I am still under warranty, so I am hoping the replacement engine is more reliable, but I can't help but wonder if it is just a matter of time before it happens again.

It is a used car, what did you expect? It might be a gear issue. Hopefully, nothing has been forced or something. Take it to the dealership and ask them for help. I don't think there is any other way of fixing this.

@Theduke, this is common with some models. Some owners said it was only a software glitch when it happened. Sometimes these settings can reset if there is an update or if the car’s battery was disconnected. So, did you update the software recently or disconnect the car's battery?
